Business Talk – Yandiswa Xhakaza on the success of UCT’s new online high school

Yandiswa Xhakaza is the Director of the UCT Online High School and is passionate about helping children reach their full potential through education.

She earned her Bachelor of Education Degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from Wits University, as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of Pretoria.

She also accrued experience as a programme facilitator at Wits and the Gauteng Department of Education.

She then worked as an executive director at Akhani Social Development Management and was the founding head and CEO of the Arrow Academy.

Xhakaza experienced the issues of an unequal education system first-hand as a child, and this has inspired her to dedicate her life to helping young South Africans access high-quality education at scale.

In this episode of Business Talk, Xhakaza explains why UCT decided to launch an online high school.
