Sars extends submitting season deadline for non-provisional taxpayers to 2 Dec

JOHANNESBURG – The South African Income Service (Sars) has prolonged the submitting season deadline for non-provisional particular person taxpayers from Tuesday till 2 December 2021.

Sars on Tuesday mentioned it was happy with the overwhelming response from taxpayers who had submitted private earnings tax returns since July.

It mentioned it was aware of systemic points, in addition to the affect of load shedding on taxpayers, which can have made it tough for taxpayers to file returns.

Because of this, the date for the levying of penalties on taxpayers who haven’t filed their returns, can be prolonged and applied in January.
